Go Bears!
I have to root for my 'hometown' Chicago Bears. My parents migrated to the USA, and Chicago, in 1975 -- Walter Payton's rookie year in the NFL. Per Pro Football Reference, Payton rushed 196 times for 679 yards. My sister, my Lola (grandmother) and I migrated in August 19, 1976. That year, 'Sweetness' rushed 311 times for 1311 yards with 13 touchdowns. I'm sure I watched most of the Bears games with my Dad, if not all of them. In 1976, Payton was selected to the Pro Bowl and was First Team All-Pro.
Our apartment, Warren Barr Tower, was at 856 W Nelson St. Chicago 60657.
Happy birthday to Tito Nelson, my dad's youngest brother.
